Srinagar: Muslims from various parts of city Srinagar Thursday observed the birth anniversary of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (A.S) at the residence of Aga Syed Maqbool Rizvi a famous cleric, at Doonipora,Zadibal.
Devotees thronged the residence of Rizvi at Zadibal area of the city and prayed throughout the day on the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (A.S), which is observed by the Muslims across the world.
While addressing devotees at Doonipora, Rizvi threw light on the life and contribution of Imam Ali (A.S). He said, We should not forget the sacrifices of Imams. This day is special in the history of Islam. We should pray for peace and prosperity for all the Muslims across the World.
It was attended by huge number of devotees from city parts. Religious clerics and people in general prayed for atonement of their sins.
Many Muslim Scholars from various parts of valley threw light on the life and teachings of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (A.S). They advised people to follow the path of Islam and the teachings of Imam Ali. Earlier devour spent night offering Durud (praises for the Ali) and recited verses of Holy Quran for atonement of their sins.
At Imam Bada, Zabibal it was presided under Moulana Imran Raza Ansari. Devotes including clerics from different areas of Srinagar thronged the Imam Bada and prayed for whole Muslim Ummah.
Meanwhile similar possessions were also reported from other areas of Kashmir which include Budgam, Chattergam, Khanda Wapore, Barjee Harwan, Haniveera Pattan, Magam, Watergam Wagoora etc on the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (A.S).
The birth anniversary was observed with religious fervour throughout the valley in which Imams mesmerised devotees with Islamic teachings. They prayed for peace and prosperity for the whole Muslim Ummah.
