SRINAGAR: The Block Development Officers of District Srinagar conducted Gram Sabhas in Halqa Panchayats of their respective Blocks in connection with the ongoing Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan which was attended by Panchayat representatives, field functionaries of Rural Development and other line Departments and General public.
Various Panchayat Halqas wherein Gram Sabhas were held include Soiteng of Block Srinagar. Faquri Gujree A&B and Gandtal of Block Harwan Khanmoh AB&C of Block Khonmoh, Rambirgarh, Lawaypora, GundHasibhat A&B of Block Qamarwari Palpora and Gagerzoo of Block Eidgah, Wanihama and Gasoo of Block Hazratbal.
Also to mark the National Civil Service day resource person of the line Departments made people aware about the role and importance of civil servants in implementation of the various Flagship programmes/ welfare schemes run by the Government and the people were asked to take benefit of these schemes.
