Srinagar: Rejecting the statement of Indian foreign minister Spokesperson, Vikas Saroop wherein he said Kashmir is an integral part of India.
Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani said “Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and not an integral part of India and, India by its military might occupy Kashmir, which has no moral or constitutional authority.
He appealed the OIC Secretary General to go beyond passing the mere resolutions and help Kashmiris in freedom struggle and use your influence and good offices to pressurize India to implement UN resolutions in J&K without further delay, he said.
In a statement issued to KNS, Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani said that it is India which is holding the Jammu and Kashmir just with the help of its military might and this country is prosecuting and oppressing Kashmiris since last 69 years now.
Syed Ali Geelani further said that the prevailing political uncertainty and disturbance in the state is due to the rigid and stubborn approach of India and their regional aspirations to become a king maker is absolutely absurd and which only leads people to further pain and agony not only in Kashmir but the whole subcontinent including India and Pakistan. So, by uttering integral part rhetoric every now and then neither going to change the situation nor it affects the disputed nature of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said, and added that India must adopt realistic approach to implement UN resolution as promised by India including world community.
Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani Although Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) supports Kashmir cause but as of now achieved nothing of substance but now risks losing whatever relevance it may have, he said. (KNS)
