Coalition visualized bringing people closer: Zulfkar

Jammu:  Terming development as top agenda of present government, Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali has said that formation of PDP-BJP government was visualized by the late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to bring people of the three regions closer to each other.

Addressing public gatherings at Kotranka and Raj Nagar areas of Darhal Constituency, Zulfkar assured people to take forward developmental agenda of late Mufti Sayeed. He said that this government was formed on the basic agenda of development of all regions and government is committed to do justice with every region. He added that PM has assured full support to the state which has made coalition strong and effective.

Terming administration as hands of government, Zulfkar said that it was desired by late Mufti Sayeed to make changes in NFSA and now the present government has come up with Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Food Entitlement Scheme for mitigating food problems of the state. He said that this scheme is in addition to NFSA in which one person will get 10 kg of ration.

Stressing upon officers to correct the errors in the ration lists, the CAPD Minister said that he has given time to all Deputy Commissioners for updating and he desires to make the lists error free. 

He said that this time nobody will be spared if he did some mistake in lists. “Govt will take stern action against Patwari or BLO involved in preparing faulty lists and directions have been passed to cross check the lists in time bound manner”, Zulfkar added.  He further clarified that no electricity bills or mobile phone connection is needed for getting ration. “Some politicians are misleading people in Kalakote area that food will be given to only those people having mobile and electricity connection which is not a fact, he added saying that no such proof is needed for getting food. He said that all BPL and AAY people will get 35 kg ration @Rs 2 and 3 and those who are creating confusion are biggest enemies of poor people.

Meanwhile the Minister listened to the grievances of public at various places in Budhal and Kotranka where he visited along with all district officers. Locals raised the issues of water electricity and updation in NFSA lists for ration. He assured to mitigate all sufferings of the people.

The Minister announced to open Tehsil Supply Office at Budhal besides assured posting of BDO in the area and early completion of one block of Govt Degree College Budhal building. He also announced face-lifting of roads and construction of new roads in the area. (PTK)
