Baisakhi celebrated in Srinagar

Srinagar: Amid shutdown and restrictions in Old Srinagar City, Sikh community celebrated Baisakhi-the festival exhibiting the festivities of harvesting season in Kashmir Valley.

People from Sikh community visited Mughal Gardens which are traditionally opened on this day for visitors.

Sikh devotees were seen at Chati Padshahi in Kathi Darwaza where they remained busy in Shabad keertan and offering special prayers throughout the day. The Gurdwaras at other places also witnessed a good rush of devotees on the occasion.

All Mughal gardens like Nishat, Shalimar, Harwan and the tulip garden was abuzz with a rush of visitors from across the Valley.
