Nayeem Qadir Bhat, a budding cricketer was killed in Handwara town today when soldiers of Indian Army fired upon him during a protest demonstration.
He was selected for All India level coaching camp for cricket in three years ago, his friends said.
Bhat, a student of Government Degree College Handwara, had recently shown extra-ordinary performance in under-19 state level cricket competition.
