KU students stand in solidarity

Share

Srinagar : Kashmir University students Monday took out a solidarity march for the Kashmiri students pursuing their degrees in different colleges and universities all across India. They expressed concern over the growing incidents of assault of Kashmiri students.

According to the eyewitnesses, scores of students assembled outside Humanitarian Block of the varsity and amid pro-freedom slogans organized a march in solidarity with the Kashmiri students studying in different colleges and universities all across India.

The protesting students lashed out at New Delhi for adopting double standards. They said that Government of India wasted no time in sending a team to NIT to protect those Indian students who assaulted police but the same government has been acting as mute spectator when Kashmiri students are assaulted in nook and corner of India.

“They are worried only about non-locals students at the NIT despite knowing how they (non-local students) vandalised the college property,” rued protesting students.
