Haq inspects ongoing works of District Court Complex Batmalloo

SRINAGAR: Minister for Rural Development, Law and Justice Abdul Haq took stock of the ongoing works of the District Court Complex Mominabaad Batmalloo Srinagar here today

During the inspection the Minister was apprised that 92% of works have been completed and the project will be complete by June this year. He was also informed that an amount of Rs 99.50 crore (82.72%) have been released so far in the phase one out of the estimated cost of Rs 120.28 crore.

Haq inspected the ongoing construction work of Lawyers chamber and northern Court block and was informed that in first phase   31 Court rooms, 2 Lok Adalats chambers, Library-cum-reading room, Conference Hall,, Additional Services block, Services Building, Electric Sub Station, Canteen, Judicial Lock Up, Petition Writer’s block  and mediation centre will be completed.

 He was informed that there is target of constructing 310 lawyers chambers in two phases at an estimated cost of Rs 1547.25 lakh.

Abdul Haq asked the officers to ensure that facilities including central heating system, Fire Fighting System, Public Address System, Voice Communication, CCTV Surveillance and Data Communication are provided in the Court complex.

He directed the officers to ensure that the project is completed in time so that people do not face any problem.
