Srinagar: The four day long International Art Camp at Asias largest Tulip Garden started from April 4 will conclude on Friday. Artists from different countries and states participated in the art camp and painted the images of Tulips as well as the nature in and around the ground.
The international art camp was organized by Master Sansar Chand Baru Memorial Charitable Trust in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC). Anuradha Rishi, organizer of the camp told KNS that she has organized several camps in collaboration with Ministry of Culture and arts but this programme was altogether different from other programmes as the artists who are painting the nature and bloom of Tulips got different experience. I including my all team have never seen such kind of colours reflecting from Tulips. Thus, making our work more joyous, she said.
She said that after organizing international art camp in Srinagar, she wish she could get more chances to see and draw the paintings of nature in Srinagar. Ashish, a Mumbai-based artist told KNS that he has participated in several art camps but focusing on Tulips and nature in and around the garden was altogether different experience. We have never seen such kind of nature in any state of the country. It is the first time when I saw such kind of nature and I will try to make Tulip and nature of the Valley as my subject in my future paintings, he said.
A team comprising of ten artists hailing from different countries or outside the state said they will surely make Tulips and nature of the Valley as their subjects in their future painting programmes. They later thanked JKTDC for giving them a chance to organize art camp in the Asias largest Tulip garden. (KNS)
