Sheikh Tariq is a national hero: Yasin Malik

Srinagar:JKLF chief Yasin Malik today said that the struggle and sacrifice of shaheed sheikh Tariq will be always remembered.

The JKLF said that on his martyrdom day, a condolence meeting was held at his residence Chanapora. JKLF leaders advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Ashraf bin Salam, Gulzar Ahmad Pahalwan, Showkat Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Ramzan and peer Abdul Rashid participated in the meeting. While recalling the struggle and sacrifices of Martyr sheikh Tariq advocate Butt sahib said that martyr was a great warrior, leader and national hero of Kashmiris. He laid down his life for freedom of his nation and never compromised in the way of struggle and resistance. Terming martyr Sheikh Tariq as one of the best Kashmir ever had, Bhat sahib said that his struggle, braveness, wisdom and resilience’s were his trademark. Bhat sahib said that martyr Tariq was a keen follower of Islam; his passion for an independent Jammu Kashmir was unparallel. And he will be remembered for all these qualities.

The party also showed concern about the deteriorating health of its supreme leader Amanullah Khan.

The JKLF supreme leader Amanullah Khan is unwell and has been admitted in a hospital from last night. The Doctors have diagnosed him with pneumonia and intestinal infection and are treating him for the same. (PTK)
