Dog brought for Rs 45000 ‘abducted’

Srinagar: In a rare case of its kind a pet dog was abducted Tuesday from Gulab Bagh locality of central-Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

The owner of the dog Zarak Muzzafar said that two maruti-borne youths dog napped his pet ‘Rango’ which he had bought from the “Pet World” Parraypora at a whooping price of Rs 45000.

“Rango” belongs to a special breed of dogs called Saint Bernard (St. Bernard) mainly found in Switzerland.

Zarak said it is originally bred for rescue. The breed of dogs is known for its lively, watchful, gentle, friendly and calm nature.
