JKLF condemns PSA on ‘Young Boys’ in south Kashmir

Srinagar: Chairperson Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik Monday condemned the slapping of PSA on Kashmiri young boys.

“Yasin Malik expresses concern over the detention of more than ten Kashmiri students in Rajasthan and strife at IIT Srinagar in which many Kashmiris have been injured,” he said in a issued statement.

JKLF chairperson Muhammad Yasin Malik while condemning the spree of arrests and slapping black law PSA on young boys in Islamabad and Aarwani Kulgam,  said that the rulers are hell bent upon destroying the careers of these young boys. He said that a young boy from Lazibal Islamabad, Irfan Ahmad Khan who is in jail from last many months has been yet again slapped with another PSA. “This is being done to prolong his incarceration.”

Terming this as illegal and undemocratic, Malik said that this is another example of how freedom of expression is being choked by Indian state in Jammu Kashmir.

While condemning the ongoing onslaught against Kashmiri students studying in Indian states, Malik said that more than 10 Kashmiri students are languishing in Rajasthan jails from last many days. “This is an act of ruining careers of these students. Kashmiris are not safe in any Indian state and they are being intimidated, harassed, arrested and humiliated everywhere.”

He said that Kashmiris will not keep silent on this growing intolerance.

While expressing grave concern over the strife in IIT Srinagar in which many Kashmiris have “sustained injuries”, Yasin Malik said that these kinds of acts are condemnable.

Paying tributes paid tributes to Sajad Ahmad Shah said that Sajad was a brave son of soil who strived and sacrificed his life for the freedom of Jammu Kashmir.

A JKLF delegation comprising of Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Muhammad Dar and Showkat Ahmad Dar visited the residence of “martyr” Sajad Shah and expressed solidarity with his family.
