SRINAGAR: Taking strong note of harassment and arrest of Kashmiri students residing outside the State, the Divisional commissioner, Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon today impressed upon Rajasthan government to resolve the issue of arrest of 10 Kashmir students charged for scuffle on the eve of India V/s West Indies Cricket match amicably and ensure their release at an earliest.
Referring to the similar situation faced by the Kashmir administration in NIT, Srinagar where the issue was resolved amicably without arresting any student. The Divisional Commissioner in a communiqué has stressed the Home Department of Rajasthan to follow similar method so that students of Kashmir do not feel harassed and their safety is assured.
