Singapore Martial Art Coaches Train Kashmiris in Srinagar

Srinagar: To promote “new trends” in Martial-art, a four day “National Coaches’ and Referees’ seminar-2016” began on Friday at Indoor stadium here.

 The seminar is being organized by Indian Pencak Silat Federation (IPSF) under the supervision of Asian Pencak Silat Federation at SK Indoor Sports Complex.

 The opening ceremony of the seminar was inaugurated by president of Asian Pencak Silat Federation Sheikh Allau-din bin Yaqoob from Singapore followed by the president (IPSF) Farooq Ahmad.

Yaqoob on the occasion said, “as many as 150 participants from 20 states of India including 20 participants from Kashmir are participating in this four-day course.”

 The organizers informed that the course shall be taught by the four coaches from Singapore namely MS Nur-Fazlin Jama-en who is also a manager of Asian Pencak Silat Federation; SA-Adiah Binte Sanuse (General Secretary); Mohammad Yasin Bin-Yasil (International Wasit Jury); Sheik Ferdous Bin-sheik Al-Au-Din (International Player).

“This could be the platform for the participants to qualify for the Asian Games-2018 and if one could work hard I ensure his hard work will pay him/her back,” said Yaqoob
