Srinagar: Hours before PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti’s meeting with Governor NN Vohra over government formation with BJP in State, militants Saturday hurled a grenade in Bijbehara town of south Kashmir towards an army patrol, resulting in injuries to two soldiers and one civilian.

The grenade attack resulted in injuries to two soldiers and one civilian as they were hit by splinters.

Sources said the injured soldiers and civilians were rushed to hospital while gunshots were also heard after grenade blast. The militant attack resulted in panic and fear in the area after which huge contingents of police, army and CRPF cordoned off whole area and launched manhunt against the attackers.

Meanwhile, militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen claimed the responsibility of the attack and warned of more attacks in future.
