SaMaPa Aalap Sufi concert held at JKAACL Srinagar

SRINAGAR: In the penultimate session of the ongoing Sopori Academy of Music and Performing Arts (SaMaPa) music festival, a Sufi concert was held at Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages (JKAACL) Srinagar today.

The Sufi recitals by local artists left the audience, comprising mostly art lovers, spellbound who admired the performance of the artists.

Organiser SaMaPa Aalap music festival Abhay Rustam Sopori said that every art lover will have to come forward to make the next edition of the festival a bigger success.

He said local artists have got huge talent which needs to be harnessed and exposed at national and international level and added that it is high time that effective steps are taken to preserve the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir.

The concluding concert of the music festival will be held tomorrow on the foothills of Kohimaran at Badamwari Park in Srinagar.
