Srinagar: The residents of Daan Mohalla of Brein Nishat are up in arms against the Lakes and Waterways Development Authorities (LAWDA) for failing to redress their genuine grievance. A delegation comprising of locals told KNS that a local want to grab the sole public convenience in the area. However despite several pleads, no action is being taken against the person involved in it.
Locals told KNS that they are facing tremendous hardships due to such kind of happenings in their area. Muhammad Yousuf Rather who want to grab the public convenience is owner of the land situated nearby to the public toilet. He wants to grab it for his personnel interest, a local said.
He said that they are facing tremendous hardships due to such kind of happenings. We appeal Vice-chairman LAWDA, Sarmad Hafeez to look into the sufferings of the residents and to redress the genuine grievances at earliest, he said.
VC LAWDA, Sarmad Hafeez told KNS that he has asked Deputy Superintendent of Police to look into the matter and redress the problems. All the genuine grievances will be redressed soon, Hafeez said. (KNS)
