Buyer seller meet held in Srinagar

 SRINAGAR: Director, Handloom Development Department, Rajesh Sharma, today inaugurated handloom clusters and Buyer seller meet at Nigeen Club Srinagar.

The event was held to showcase products of handloom weavers directly to buyers and have better marketing experience and get acquainted with changing trend of customers.

 He said the department will also hold such events in future as well to help weavers and also to reduce the risk of piling up of stocks.

Director Handlooms also launched a website of Zoonimer Handloom Cluster and stressed the need for preservation of this heritage industry.

Joint Director Handlooms Kashmir, Deputy Director Handloom Projects UNDP and other officers of the department were also present on the occasion.
