Bandipore:- In its endeavour to give comprehensive coverage to neglected but equally important areas of the state, Kashmir Observer opened its bureau office in Bandipore town on Saturday.

Addressing an impressive gathering of local officials, traders and youth on the occasion, Editor-in-Chief Sajjad Haider expressed happiness that a team of talented local mass communication graduates have joined hands to serve the people of their district which not only has a glorious past but has the distinction of attaining highest literacy rate over the years.

He said by upholding the highest journalistic standards for last 20 years of its existence Kashmir Observer has earned a loyal readership through length and breadth of the Valley and it was with that sense of gratitude KO has decided to reach out to the small towns.

“Free flow of correct information is necessary as misinformation feeds conflicts”, he said adding KO will make all efforts to highlight the genuine issues facing the people of Bandipore, besides providing them with a media platform they can rely on.

People, representing different walks of life, present there hailed Kashmir Observer for taking lead in reaching out to Bandipore.
