Rs 211 cr released for flood-hit families: Div Com

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon today said that Rs 211 crore have been released to the flood-hit families, having fully-damaged houses, while as Rs 1.12 crore were released to the traders affected due to floods  across Kashmir valley.

Dr Samoon said the monetary assistance was released to the flood-hit families and affected traders under the Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP).

Pertinently the development came after the State Administrative Council (SAC) under the chairmanship of Governor N N Vohra approved financial assistance under PMDP- 2015 for providing relief to the people whose houses were damaged due to the devastating floods of September, 2014. (PTK)
