BANDIPORA: A day-long training cum awareness programme was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bandipora at village Sumlar of the district today.
The programme was aimed at sensitizing the participants about the production and protection of various kinds of vegetables. The workshop was attended by KVK coordinator, experts of KVK, progressive farmers, rural youth and farm women as well.
During the programme, the farmers were imparted training regarding protected cultivation of vegetables, raising of seedlings, disease management and production under poly houses.
On the occasion vegetable seeds of different varieties developed by SKUAST Kashmir were also distributed among the farmers by KVK
