Srinagar: Biomedical Waste Management and Handling Technique and Safe Injection Practices seminar was conducted at Lalla Ded Hospital on Monday. The program was conducted by the department of Social and Preventive Medicine GMC Srinagar.According to Medical Superintendent LD Hospital, this program was conducted on the on spot directions from Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education MK Bhandari on his visit to the hospital. In order to educate and rejuvenate the staff, he also desired continuity of such programs.
The participants in the seminar included Doctors, Nursing Staff, Staff from Laboratory, Blood Bank, CSSD Sanitation etc. Few attendants from the hospital were also invited to understand the need and importance of save disposal of Biochemical Waste. The administration was appreciated for their efforts for the Continuous Medical Education. (CNS)
