Rs 3.16 cr disbursed among flood sufferers of Kulgam

Srinagar: An amount of Rs 3.165 crore was today disbursed among 158 cases involving 189 beneficiaries whose houses were damaged in September, 2014 floods in district Kulgam. The amount has been disbursed out of Special Assistance of Central Plan under Prime Minister’s Development Plan, 2015. The total number of cases which have been sanctioned and paid relief under the NDMA in district Kulgam is 3275 and the total amount to be released is Rs 19.0855 crores under PMDP-2015.

In order to ensure that the relief is disbursed in a transparent and hassle free manner, the relief amount is being credited directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries which they have already provided to the district administration. (PTK)
