Anantnag: The Vigilance Organization Kashmir (VOK), today produced challan in the Court of Additional Anti-Corruption Judge Anantnag in case FIR NO: 15/2012 against the accused public servant namely Abdul Hamid Bhat S/o Ghulam Ahmad Bhat R/o Kathsoo Sallar Anantang, the then Nursing Orderly/Incharge Ticket Section District Hospital Anantnag.
The case was registered in Police Station VOK on the basis of allegations of misappropriation of funds on account of auction of trees, Hospital Development Funds, NRHM Funds etc. by the officers/officials of Mirza Mohammad Afzal Beigh Hospital Anantnag. It was further alleged that Abdul Hamid Bhat, Nursing Orderly who was then functioning as I/C Registration Section dishonestly and fraudulently by abusing his official position misappropriated an amount of Rs 1579530 collected towards Hospital Development funds between the period 06/2010 to 31/08/2011.
During the investigation conducted by VOK it was revealed that Abdul Hamid Bhat, Nursing Orderly who was supposed to deposit an amount of Rs 5992180 deposited only Rs 4672650 with the concerned Bank and the remaining amount of Rs 1319530 was misappropriated by him by way of abusing his official position. Furthermore it was also revealed that Abdul Hamid Bhat, Nursing Orderly has resorted to falsification of documents by making insertions in various bank receipts, thereby managing to show deposits of amount in excess of Rs 260000 vis-a-vis actual deposits in the official bank account No. 21005/ SB during the said period.
The investigation of the case was finally concluded as proved against the accused Abdul Hamid Bhat and after the accord of government sanction for launching prosecution, the challan of the case was produced before the court of Additional Anti-Corruption Judge Anantnag for judicial determination.
