Pulwama: Two persons from South Kashmirs Pulwama district have gone missing while police have apprehensions they might have joined militant ranks.
Police sources informed CNS that a government employee who had been interrogated by National Investigation Agency (NIA) with regard to Udhampur attack is missing from February 19 last month. Tanvir Ahmed Sofi son of Ghulam Ahmed a resident of Kakapora who works in Fishery Department and presently was posted at Dachigam Srinagar is untraceable. His family members have lodged a missing report in police station Kakapora. There is every possibility that he might have joined militant ranks, said a top police official.
He added that an Engineering student Ovais Ahmed Malik son of Muhammad Maqbool a resident of Hakhripora Pulwama has also gone missing from March 4. A missing report stands registered in Police Station Pulwama. We are investigating the matter, however despite putting all the efforts, the missing youth is untraceable, he said. (CNS)
