SRINAGAR: Male staff and students joined Womens Day celebrations at Himayat Centre Hyderpora here on Tuesday.
Participants highlighted the importance of women since the creation and speakers shed light on womens role in shaping the generations and being pivot behind the success of mankind.
Expressing her views trainer Ms. Bisma said that every Muslim woman follow Hazrat Khatijah (R.A), Hazrat Fatima Zahra (R.A), Hazrat Aisha (R.A) and Hazrat Zainab (A.S) but they should also make them their role models. She expressed grief over gender discrimination and rampant domestic violence with woman in this modern age.
Another trainer Ms. Zulaikha also expressed her views on the issue of equality and fragility of woman. Project coordinator Mr. Irshad Ahmad Lone threw light on the achievements and different roles played by woman. Centre Managers distributed the gifts among the female staff on the occasion. Students also expressed their views through debates, plays, and folk songs.
The programme was anchored by Trainer Mr. Sheikh Ovais and it was organized and hosted by IKYA Himayat Centre Hyderpora under the supervision of Mr. Mudasir Ahmad (Centre Manager) for all IKYA Srinagar Centres. IKYA Himayat Centre is a Skill Development Centre for dropouts and unemployed youth. Centre has trained and placed more than 300 candidates within and outside of the state in last three years.
