Sandeep reviews Tourism Scenario, interacts with tour, travel operators

JAMMU: In order to give further boost to Tourism Sector in Jammu division, Principal Secretary, Tourism Mr. Sandeep Kumar Nayak convened an interactive meeting with Tour and Travel Operators of Jammu Province today.

The senior officers of Tourism Department were also present in the meeting.

Mr. Sandeep received the detailed feedback from Tour & Travel Operators representing more than 2 dozen different   Travel Agents, Hotel and Tour Operator Associations .He assured them that the suggestions given by them would be  given due attention to further boost the tourism sector in the Division.

He said extension of validity of the Incentive for tourism sector would be given priority. He also announced that tourism infrastructure works would be expedited.

 Referring the demand for giving industry status to tourism sector, the Secretary said that the matter would also be taken up for consideration.

He said road shows would be held in neighboring states of Utter Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh to attract the tourists.

The Secretary asked tour and travel operators to take added attention in tourist publicity by utilizing latest techniques of designing and make publicity material easy understand for everyone.

 Among others who attended the meeting include president Jammu Hotel and Restaurant Association, Chairman JPVW, Managing Director Hotel Asia Jammu, President Tourism Federation of Jammu, Chairman Best Deal Tour and Travel Chenab Valley Tourism Federation, Secretary J&K Federa5tion of Tour Operators Jammu, President ADTOJ, President Bhaderwah Travel Trade Association, President ARTO Katra, President, Jammu Association of Tour Operators, President Travel Agents Association, Jammu, President and General Secy Patnitop Hotel Association, Chairman, Hotel Patinitop Association, Association of Jammu Travel Agents, President United Hotel and Restaurant Association, Chairman, IATO J&K Chapter.
