D C Kulgam tighten noose on Fertilizer hording dealers

KULGAM: Acting on the complaints of farmers of District Kulgam regarding the sale of spurious fertilizers and availability of spray oil, a Task Force team comprising of officers of Agriculture and Horticulture Department has been constituted for effective monitoring and hassle free availability of sale of fertilizers and oil spray in the district.

Chairing a meeting of Agriculture and Horticulture officers, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah directed the officers to keep a strict vigil over the sale and availability of fertilizers and oil spray. He enjoined upon the dealers that there should be no hording and Black-marketing of the fertilizers and agri oil. He said adequate arrangements have been put in place to keep available abundant stock of fertilizers and agriculture oil hassle free in the district.

It was given out in the meeting that the agriculture department has kept available a stock 14000 quintals of Urea, 32840 quintals of DAP and 13260 qtls MOP (Potash) as on date.
