UDHAMPUR:- An awareness programme for distribution of quality planting material of Apple, Walnut, Almond under Tribal Sub Plan was held at Gulaban village, Panchari Zone under the supervision of Chief Horticulture Officer Udhampur.
Scientist from CITH Dr. Anil Sharma, Horticulture Development Officer Moungri, Horticulture Development Officer Panchari, Horticulture Technicians besides 30 beneficiaries of the local area were present in the camp.
The programme was organized by Horticulture department Udhampur in collaboration with Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture Rangreth Srinagar.
In the inaugural address Dr. Anil Sharma briefed the people about the economic importance of the planting material distributed, which would yield encouraging results in future.
C.L. Sharma, Chief Horticulture Officer Udhampur also informed people about various schemes of the department and stressed upon them to avail the benefits of these schemes and raise their economic standard of living.
