Jammu: Following the approval of the State Administrative Council, the Revenue Department has issued orders to the payment of financial assistance, under Prime Ministers Development Plan 2015, to the owners of houses damaged due to floods of September 2014.
The financial assistance sanctioned under Prime Ministers Development Plan 2015 will be over and above the relief/financial assistance already provided in favour of affected households in the past under State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and Prime Ministers National Relief Fund (PMNRF).
As per the orders, the financial assistance shall be transferred directly by the concerned Deputy Commissioners into the bank accounts of the flood victims as have already been provided assistance under PMNRF through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
With the assistance being sanctioned now, the composite relief/financial assistance in respect of different categories of the damaged houses will be as:
