Malik put under house arrest from Friday night

Srinagar: The ugly way in which Indian rulers have slapped charges of sedition on Prof SAR Geelani and JNU students and have arrested them has exposed the ugly face of Indian democracy, Kashmiris through their exemplary strike have registered their protest against this Indian oppression.

Yasin Malik who is ill and has been put under house arrest from last night while condemning the continues incarceration of prof SAR Geelani and others said that imposing ban on people’s right to speak and think, using brutal face and black laws to put people behind bars under black laws have exposed the ugly face of Indian democracy.

He said that ex-Indian home minister p Chidambaram whose party hanged Afzal Guru Shaheed on Saturday confesses that Afzal was not given a fair trial and his case was not decided rightly but when people like SAR Geelani and others spoke about this, they were termed as traitors and media trial was lunched against them and they have been put behind bars.

Yasin Malik said this double stand of Indian rulers and using brutal force to put curbs on people dissent is a glaring example of Indian dictatorial attitude under the garb of democracy.

He said that people of Jammu Kashmir today through their exemplary protest strike have raised their voices against this Indian oppression and for this exemplary show of unity people of Kashmir deserve qudoos and appreciation.

While condemning the silence of international community on this Indian oppressive behavior, Yasin Malik said that to safeguard their business interests, international powers have actually acted against humanity and human behaviors.

Yasin Malik urged civil society and international human rights organizations to intervene and save SAR Geelani, and others from the wrath of Indian oppressive behavior. This is worth to mention that Yasin Sahib was put under house arrest last night.

Ailing Yasin Malik has been confined to his room and asked to remain confined to his room.

Meanwhile police has arrested JKLF district president Islamabad Mohammad Ishaq Ganaeiand and district president Kupwara Mohammad Rafiq Ahmad War. JKLF while condemning this arrests said that intimidating and arresting peaceful political activates has become order of the day and this is highly condemnable. (KNS)
