Srinagar: Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba allegedly had distributed printed posters in different Masjids of saffron town Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district asking religious preachers to read it aloud for the people during Friday congregational prayers. Locals informed  the printed posters carrying LeT stamp hailed people of Pampore for showing solidarity with the militants during their encounter with Indian Forces at EDI Building Pampore.

LeT through these posters threatened to intensify attacks on security establishment and pledged to take ongoing freedom struggle to its logical conclusion. LeT also advised ‘Informers’ to desist from anti-freedom struggle movement activities and warned them of dire consequences in case they continue to aid and assist Indian agencies.

Locals said that these posters were readout by religious preachers in different Masjids of Pampore. When contacted a police official on condition of anonymity said that they have taken cognizance of the issue and investigation has been started to ascertain the facts. (CNS)
