20 doctors suspended in Kashmir

SRINAGAR: As many as 20 doctors were suspended for remaining absent from duty in South Kashmir’s Shopian district, officials said today. 

During a surprise inspection of various health institutions in Shopian, the Deputy Commissioner placed 21 doctors under suspension for being “unauthorisedly absent from duty”, an official spokesman said. 

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officials to maintain punctuality in health institutions and other offices, and warned of strict action against the absentees, he said.
