North Kashmir accuses CAPD of flouting norms

Srinagar: At the time when the state is already witnessing troubled moments over the implementation of the new food act, people from north Kashmir accuse the CAPD of turning blind eye towards the deserving while according undue benefits to others.

Residents of Handwara village in northern Kupwara district have accused the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department for issuing ration cards to undeserving consumers.

A delegation of Sudergund Hangah told KNS, that CAPD department in their area has issued family ration cards to unmarried youth.  Assistant director Food Kupwara Mudasir Ahmad refused to reply to the queries about issuing ration cards to undeserving consumers.
