Kulgam: People of Badhroo area of South Kashmirs Kulgam district Thursday held a protest demonstration against the Municipal Committees Yaripora and Frisal against dumping of garbage in the area.
Amid slogans against the Government and the Yaripora and Frisal Municipal Committees, large number of people of the area blocked the vehicular movement for couple of hours in the district.
The protestors alleged that the district administration and Municipal Committees is playing with the life of people by dumping the garbage in the area.
Dumping of garbage in the village has led to health hazard, one of the protesters told CNS.
On getting information, officials rushed to the spot, pacified the agitators and assured necessary action in this regards.
Later, the protestors dispersed and the vehicular movement was restored. (CNS)
