Hizb pays tribute to slain commander

SRINAGAR:  Militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen Monday paid rich tribute to one of its commanders Ghulam Rasool Dar alias Ghazi Naseeruddin on his 12th death anniversary. Ghazi was killed in 2004 during a gunfight with Indian troopers in Srinagar.

As per a statement to CNS, Hizb Chief Syed Salahuddin while addressing a meeting said that the slain militant was a religious figure and an “ardent supporter of Kashmir Freedom Struggle”. “Ghazi was well-educated who spent most of his time in prayers. He was possessing unique leadership qualities.”

Syed Salahuddin said that the death of Ghazi produced motivated large number of youth and his drops of blood have continuously been inspiring the freedom lovers in Kashmir.

The meeting was also addressed by Deputy Commander Saifullah Khalid. “The martyrs of Kashmir were also prayed rich tribute in the meeting and prayers were held for the wellbeing of the Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani.” (CNS)
