‘OGW arrested along with pistol: Police

HANDWARA:  Police Monday claimed that government forces apprehended an over ground worker (OGW) of militant outfit  ‘Al-Badar in North Kashmir’s Handwara town.

A  police hand out said that Army personnel from 27 RR and Handwara police  arrested the militant after  he tried to give a slip to the naka party. The arrested militant has been identified as Bashir Ahmed Dar of Pohru Peth and according to police  a Chinese pistol and some ammunition was recovered from his possession. “The militant  has been booked  under section  7/25 of Arms Act and an FIR vide number 14/2016 has been registered against him,” police said.
