Pulse polio drops are safe; No deaths reported: Immunization Officer Dr Dolma

Srinagar:-The State Immunization officer Dr Yangthan Dolma has requested people not to pay heed to any rumours suggesting that kids have died after being polio drops in the valley.

Dr Dolma said that she has spoken to all ten CMOs of the valley and that there has been no adverse report from anywhere.

“We are preparing a report on this. I have had reports from all ten CMOs of the valley. These are just rumours. I request people to have faith in this 20-year-old vaccination programme,” said Dr Dolma.

Earlier, rumours started doing the rounds that some kids have died in Ludow area of Pampore after being administered polio drops.

Following the rumours, panic gripped the valley and anxious parents rushed to hospitals with their kids.
