Anti-Encroachment Op launched in Baramulla

BARAMULLA: Forest Department on Saturday launched anti-encroachment drive in Khadinyar and Hajibal forests in Doabgah Range here.

The officers headed by DFO JV Division Baramulla, Irfan Ali Shah, IFS along with other personnel of Forest Control Room and Forest Protection Force launched anti-encroachment drive in the district.

The officials dismantled a temporary kotha in co 1/d Khadinyar in the morning while in the afternoon they dismantled two structures in Co 4d/8 Doabgah range and freed about 30 Kanals of Forest land from encroachment.

While talking to KNS, DFO Irffan Ali said that search for culprits and encroachers have been started on large scale.

Giving details of the successful anti-encroachment operation DFO JV Division Irfan Ali Shah, IFS said, “We will not spare anybody who has or who will even try to encroach upon forest land irrespective of their rank, status or affiliations. I appeal to the people of Baramulla to come forward and help in doing away this menace of Forest encroachments.” (KNS)
