Hurriyat (G) on Saturday termed as “baseless’ all the rumours suggesting that chairman of the amalgam Syed Ali Geelani had a conversation with PDP President Mehbooba Mufti following the demise of her father and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed.
“Spokesman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Ayaz Akbar strongly rejects and refuted the rumours which are being circulated on social networking sites with regarding to Geelani Sahab’s telephonic conversation with Mehbooba Mufti (sic),” Hurriyat (G) said in a statement.
“There is no such issue and nothing like that had happened. He appealed the people not to pay heed to this baseless propaganda,” the statement added.
