J&K Bank Commissions ATM in Kulgam, Conducts Literacy Camp

SRINAGAR: J&K Bank Saturday commissioned one more Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at Munad Guffan in district Kulgam thereby taking the number of ATMs in the cluster Kulgam to 21.

Cluster Head Malik Shabir Ahmad inaugurated the teller machine amid an impressive gathering comprising of valuable customers, senior citizens and other local residents. Notably, the bank dedicated three more ATMs, one each at Bugam, Ashmuji and Chawalgam during the last ten days, a company statement said this evening.

Speaking on the occasion, Cluster Head assured the participants of world class banking services at their nearest possible locations.

Meanwhile, Lead Bank Office Budgam organized a mega awareness camp in coordination with Business Unit Chrar-e-Sharief, FLCC (Budgam), NABARD at ITI Chrar-e-Sharief on the recently launched social security schemes which includes Prime Minister’s Jeevan Jyoti Bheema Yojna (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Surakhsha Bheema Yojna (PMJSBY) and Prime Minister’s Mudra Yojna (PMMY). The camp was attended by a large number of ITI students under-going vocational training in different streams.

LDM Budgam Shahzad Hussain, Principal ITI Irfan Ahmad Yahaya and Zubair Wasil (NABARD) were also present on the occasion.

The speakers spoke at length about PMJJBY and PMJSBY besides educating the participants regarding establishment of their own income generating units under PMMY on completion of their trainings.

A message from District Development Commissioner was also read at the camp which urged the participants for availing the loans from banks for establishing their units under PMMY.
