Ensure Home Delivery of LPG: DC

BARAMULLA:  Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Yasha Mudgal today took a comprehensive review of the LPG Cylinder distribution system in the district during a meeting held at Baramulla. The Deputy Commissioner while mentioning the fact that home delivery of LPG gas cylinders is the basic right of the consumers asked the representatives of the agencies to ensure home delivery of LPG  to the consumers .

 Legal action will be initiated against LPG Distributor agencies that will not provide home delivery of LPG Gas cylinders to the consumers of the district,” the DC added.

The Deputy Commissioner sought public cooperation fin this regard. DDC stressed that no consumer should buy a Gas Cylinder from a Distributor shop and insist on home delivery. If the distributor is not ensuring home delivery, the district administration should be informed immediately.” 

The Deputy Commissioner, meanwhile, directed the LPG distributor agencies to report before their concerned Tehsildars and keep close liaison with them.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Development, officers of CA&PD and representatives of LPG Gas distributor agencies were present during the meeting.
