Div Com reviews mobile and broadband services in the valley

SRINAGAR: The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon Saturday convened a meeting to review the measures put in place for improvement and upgradation of broadband and mobile facilities in Kashmir.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, President JKPA, GMT Kashmir, SSP PCR Kashmir, DGM BSNL, Assistant Manager Idea, DM Aircel, DGM Reliance, Vice-chairperson KCCI among others attended the meeting.

Samoon impressed upon the concerned service providers to ensure better internet and mobile services so that the people are benefitted and also tourists visiting valley don’t suffer in this regard.

DGM BSNL informed that infrastructure is being installed to start 4G services in the valley. He impressed upon the officers of the mobile companies to create awareness among people regarding different tariff and data plans.

The Divisional Commissioner was informed that mobile and internet facilities are being upgraded upon, so that the connectivity is improved.
