Health Centre with all facilities without doctor

Share

Handwara: Lower Rajwar in North Kashmir’s Handwara town has a well-built community health centre that is called NHPC Wadipora Rajwar Health Centre. However, the public have not been able to gain any benefit from it, as no doctor has been posted to the centre in the last eight months.

“There has been no doctor in the Centre for many months. Thousands of people from 10 villages of Lower Rajwar depend upon this Centre. People have to travel to either Kupwara or Handwara to consult a doctor,” locals said.

The Centre has basic infrastructure facilities. However, only a compounder has been employed there. People from villages like Badhrahar, Rajwar, Dajipora, Chahlpora, Chek and other hamlets visit the hospital but are unable to treat themselves.

Chief Medical Officer Kupwara Ghulam Nabi Lone told CNS that they will definitely post a doctor in the Centre in coming days.
