SRINAGAR: AIP has strongly condemned the state government for not allowing Er Rasheed to visit Chenab valley and Kalakoot. Party spokesman has termed the action undemocratic and unconstitutional and accused Mufti government of suppressing the voice of political opponents to hide the shameful failures and anti people policies of the Sangh Parivar led government.
Rasheed according to spokesperson was detained near Batote and was kept lodged in a security vehicle for hours.
When on Wednesday Rasheed started his journey towards Kalakote to offer condolences to family of Ishtiyaq Chowdhri who was murdered by VDC terrorist, he was again detained by heavy contingent of police at Patnitop and was deported back to Srinagar in heavy presence of police and other Para military forces, he said adding that if government does again create hurdles in Er Rasheeds visit to Chenab valley and Pir Panchal region in coming few days, he may prefer to boycott the upcoming Assembly session as Mufti led government is hell bent to destroy democratic institutions.
