Abdul Haq exhorts SHG’s to avail benefits of govt schemes

KUPWARA: Minister for Rural Development and Panchyati Raj, Abdul Haq Wednesday held interactions with the Self Help Groups during a programme organised under the UMEED Scheme.

MLA Kupwara,  Bashir Ahmed Dar, Mission Director SRLM Society Dr. G. N. Qasba, Director Rural Development and Panchayati Raj,  Tasaduq Jeelani and Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara were also present on the occasion.

The Minister also distributed cheques among the 128 registered SHG’s belonging to Kupwara and Wavoora blocks.

The Minister impressed upon the Self Help Groups to work with more zeal and dedication and avail the benefits of the various state and centrally sponsored schemes.

The Minister was apprised by the Director SRLM that 91000 self help groups are linked with the UMEED scheme.
