Student Hurt in LoC Shelling Dies

Poonch: A class 7th student who was injured on August 15 in cross border shelling along the LoC in Balakote sector of Poonch district succumbed battling for life for about five months in Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu on Monday.

The victim Shahnawaz Ahmad Khan, who was a resident of Dharti village of Balakote, was injured in cross border shelling between India and Pakistan on the day when six civilians were killed and as many were injured.

The family members of the victim told GNS that from past five months Shahnawaz was in the ICU at GMC Jammu and today morning the boy succumbed to his injuries.
