Poonch: An army soldier was killed in an accidental fire while cleaning his service rifle at along Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Naik Anil Kumar of 1st Mahar received serious bullet injures on his abdomen when the rifle went off from his service rifle while cleaning it at Balnoi area today morning, a police official told GNS.
The injured soldier, a resident of MP, was immediately shifted to nearby hospital for treatment, however, doctors present there declared him brought dead, the official said.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case and started further investigations in this regard.
