Rashid justifies downtown anger against Mufti’s visit

Share

Srinagar: reacting to strong protests in Nowhatta and adjoining areas against CM’s visit AIP supremo and MLA Langate Er Rashid has said that the incident should act as an eye-opener for Mufti and his masters.

In a statement issued today, Er Rashid said that although we all should work and praise for peace but the anger against CM’s visit to Downtown is absolutely justified.

Er Rashid said that the way police and other security agencies had taken control of every nook and corner of old city, it was obvious that as if Mufti Sahab was going to raid Downtown and conquer it.

Er Rashid added, “Who doesn’t know that how ruthlessly security forces cross all limits almost every Friday inside Jamia Masjid and dozens of youth do become victim of state terrorism. Every time even juveniles and their parents are humiliated and kept in lockups. It would have been proper for Mufti Sahab to visit Kalakoot and apologize the family of Ishtiyaq Chowdhry, who was murdered with brutality by Mufri Sahab’s associates.

In fact Mufti Sahab tried to visit the most beloved place of Kashmiri Muslims only to try that attention of people gets diverted from Kalakoot incident.” He added “Let mufti Sahab answer if under the cover of law Damini’s murderer could be released why couldn’t juveniles of Kashmir get justice and how come could police throw court orders into dustbins when it comes to release of political prisoners like Masarat Alam and how do they bypass the court orders and slap consecutive PSA’s despite the fact that accused persons do not even come out of the jail for a minute.
