Better Security Systems Mandatory Now: Sisodia

NEW DELHI: Recent Chennai floods once again questioned the disaster preparedness of Indian cities. The three day exhibition of IFSEC( International Fire & Security Exhibition and Conference India Expo in the capital ended with focussing on how security solution providers can collaboratively work with other stakeholders to develop a new-age solutions to secure people.

A daylong conference focusing on security issues came up with solutions involving the private and government partners. The present level of disaster preparedness of Indian cities has also been taken up at the conference with the recent Chennai floods and its handling by the authorities lending a suitable setting to derive an improvement plan to manage better. The ideas were shared for better disaster management that authorities could put to use for a better forward planning. The need for developing response mechanism for communication needs during emergencies was one of the core issues that were discussed.

Smart cities will only be considered smart if they are safe. So converting all smart cities into safe cities was the aim of the IFSEC stakeholders involving the government partners.

Speaking on occasion , Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India said, “In today’s Indian landscape, security and surveillance requires rapid augmentation amidst industrial, commercial and residential establishments”.

The South Asia’s largest three day event showcasing the latest security equipments focused this time to provide security solutions at an affordable price to ensure security for one and all.

Speaking on the occasion, Pankaj Jain, the group director of UBM India said, “See in today’s world a decent mobile phone would cost you somewhere between Rs 15,000 to 20,000. And if we could provide security solutions at the same price, our aim is achieved”.

The Asian professional security Association (APSA), ASIS International, British security industry association (BSIA) and Electronic security Association of India (ESAI) supported this event will provide platform for 300companies from 20 different countries from the security and fire industry to showcase their latest safety equipments.

Some of the participants were – Aditya, Autocorp, Dahua, Enter, Hi-Focus, Hikvision, Lookman, Secureye, 

Securico,Tech Smart, Uniview and Zebronics will showcase the latest in the industry. Apart from these companies, ACYS, ADviK, Avtron,Com-Sur,Godrej, Honeywell, Infinova, Keeper, Messung, Milestone, MR Impex, Nitgen, Ozone, Panasonic, Starex Global and Wavesight are some of the partnering companies for IFSEC India 2015 have been showcasing their latest equipments during the 3 day exhibition.
